SLCM’S MISSION STATEMENT

South Louisville Community Ministries is responding to human needs in the South Louisville area by offering a variety of services to the public.  SLCM is a community based, not-for-profit, social service agency sponsored by local churches.

Our goals are:

•      To develop programs to help improve the quality of life of persons in our community

•      To enhance human growth, independence, and self-sufficiency.

•      To educate and promote awareness of available services and resources.

•      To promote peace, justice, and non-violence.

To accomplish this mission we seek to:

•      Provide social services to those who qualify

•      Respond to all persons in need regardless of age, gender, race, religion, disability, or national origin.

•      Foster ecumenical cooperation within our community.

 I have the audacity to believe that people everywhere can have three meals a day for their bodies, education, and culture for their minds, and dignity, equality, and justice for their spirit.
